It took a whole night to install the upgrade from Update Manager in 8.10. Everything works OK so far including Rails 2.3.2.
Upon further research, the domain rubyonrails.org was just updated in DNS but with the following info. It appeared that someone from rails forgot to renew the domain registration? The web site looks like a free domain parking page.

Update: Rails site is up running normally. Here’s the info. DNS has been updated.
I got this web page when going to Rails site http://api.rubyonrails.org.
I’m having problem running Google Map API in Firebox 3.0.8 in Ubuntu 8.10. The same code works fine in Opera and Chromium.
I tried to login to Facebook.com from DSi Opera browser. I can see some partial rendering of the home page and the message “Out of memory”. Obviously 256MB memory is not enough to handle all the JavaScript and DHTML codes from Facebook.com.
I then tried this blog. The commenting feature on this blog does not work. It’s probably related to the JavaScript code that’s not compatible with Opera. Google’s Ad Sense works.
It took me a while to finally figure out how to set up the Wi-Fi connectivity on DSi with my LinkSys WRT54G access point.
If you use WPA encryption on your WRT54G, you need to set up the Connection 4-6 instead of Connection 1-3.
Go to the System Settings, navigate to Internet.
Click on Connection Settings; click on Advanced Setup; click on Connection 4 and choose Search For an Access Point; select the SSID from the search list;
Enter the pass phrase when prompted and save the settings.
When prompted to Connection Test, click on No.
Click on User Agreement and choose Language and I ACCEPT. This is a critical step, which took me all the time to figure out how to connect to the internet!
